Reviews
Real client testimonials from completed ZOND projects.
Thank you to the ZOND team for the brand book, logo, identity, and brand character for BIT School. We needed a brand that speaks clearly to kids and parents; the character became a distinct layer that adds personality and recognition. We appreciate the systematic approach to the school’s visual identity.
Thank you, ZOND, for the full brand build: positioning, logo, brand book, character, and SMM. For a delivery service you need both a recognisable visual identity and a clear voice on social media. The brand character made communication livelier and more distinctive. We appreciate the consistent approach across all these layers.
Thank you, ZOND, for the branding, packaging, and graphic design for Akula Mama. It was important that the brand character show not only in the logo but in the product itself — through packaging and visual details. We focused on how these elements work together on shelf. We are grateful for the team’s contribution to the brand’s visual expression.
Thank you to the ZOND team for working with us on the full brand book, graphic design, and presentation for Digital Residence. It was important that the brand look consistent — from core identity rules to everyday communication materials — so we treated these tasks as one system, not separate design deliverables. We appreciate the team’s attention to our brand and their contribution to how it is represented visually.

FAQ
What types of commercial illustration exist and where are they used?
There are four types: a character, a product, a scene, and a diagram with figures. Characters go on packaging and ads, products on catalog cards, scenes on banners and social media, diagrams on websites and presentations.
How much does commercial illustration cost and how is the price formed?
Price depends on plot complexity, series size, detail level, and where the artwork will be used. The illustrator quotes after the brief, and the amount is fixed in the estimate before work starts.
How long does illustration take?
Timeline depends on series size, plot complexity, and revisions, so we set it in the estimate after the brief. Roughly 1–2 business days for one artwork, 4–5 days for a series.
Who owns the rights after payment?
Property rights to the finished work transfer to you. Scope, term, and territory are fixed in the contract signed before work starts.
In what formats do you deliver finished illustrations?
Vector and raster versions for screen and print, plus a layered source file. Formats: AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, PNG.
How many revisions are included?
Two revision rounds are included in the estimate. Minor tweaks count within those rounds. Extra work beyond two rounds is billed hourly at UAH 2,000.
Can you illustrate in our brand style?
Yes. We review your brand book for colors, fonts, and graphic manner. Without guidelines, the illustrator shows several style directions for approval.
How does a commercial illustrator differ from a freelance artist?
An artist draws for themselves and sells the work as-is. A commercial illustrator works from a brief, follows brand style, shows sketches for approval, delivers required formats, and transfers usage rights.

What affects illustration price
Price is based on scope and complexity. A single object on a white background and a scene with several characters are different workloads. Detail level and technique also matter — digital painting takes longer than line art.
Quantity is the second part of the price. A series with one character is more efficient than separate artworks. Rush work costs more than planned delivery. We quote after the brief when format, quantity, and timeline are clear.
Types of commercial illustration
They differ by concept and technique. Character illustration builds recognition. Product illustration replaces photography when a sample is not ready. Narrative scenes cover banners and covers, while diagrams explain complex products.
Common techniques include vector, digital painting, and collage. Vector scales to billboards without loss; painting adds texture. Examples of both are in the portfolio above.
Where illustration is used
Most often on packaging, where it replaces photos and makes the shelf recognizable. Websites use it on heroes, service sections, and error pages. For advertising, custom art beats stock.
Illustration also works for social media. A consistent series makes the profile cohesive, and one character in several poses covers catalog and merch.
Illustration rights and delivery formats
Stock licenses are limited by print run and channel, and competitors can buy the same image. In our contract, usage scope and territory are written for your project, and the artwork is not resold.
You receive a full file package: final vector art, raster versions for screen and print, a layered source file, and your color list — named so the right version is easy to find.
Services often combined with illustration
Illustration is rarely ordered alone. If it goes on a box or label, packaging design is needed nearby. When there are many artworks, usage rules go into a brand book so vendors stay consistent.
Creating artwork from scratch is faster when the brand already has a logo, colors, and fonts — then the illustrator knows the target result immediately.
